A bit of an oxymoron really, because you didn't live!! I suppose it means that you couldn't live without feeling successful at everything you did! You had achieved success all your life but you couldn't deal with the sense of failure that a gambling addiction brought to you.
You were so good at everything you did that your first major 'failure' was just too much for you! You would have got through it, you know! You had just begun to talk openly to us about it and we were working on it together. But, maybe being open about it also brought it to the forefront of your mind. Who knows?
When you were here with us you couldn't live without your warm doona at night. You couldn't live without sugar to satisfy that sweet-tooth you had! You couldn't live without love in all aspects of your life. You couldn't live without humour or music. You couldn't live without hair gel or summer.
You had all those things...I just wish you could have lived!! xxx
