"EMPTY"

We have an empty room in our house now. It is only filled when friends or family come to stay.
We have an empty place at the table where once we had four-way conversations about our days.
We have an empty seat in the car which even now is unspokenly called "Jake's seat".
I often feel an emptiness when small reminders of you pay fleeting visits, usually at inopportune moments.
My heart has a 'hole' in it which was once filled with your presence and the worries and care that come with being a mum of a beautiful, teenage son. But it is not an empty hole....it is a space filled with love which will never die and memories which will remain within until we meet again. xxx
